Possibilities of Integrating Digital Competences Into the Teaching of Czech Language in Primary School

On the basis of the Small revision of the Framework Curriculum, digital competences have been added to the list of competences. The task of the schools was therefore to incorporate these changes into their school education programs, but above all to start equipping their pupils with these competences. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the key concepts related to the issue of digital competences and briefly introduces the available support tools. The research part of the thesis maps the current state of digital competences integration into the Czech language teaching process in three primary schools. In order to describe this situation, interviewing teachers, and coordinators of the revision of the school educational program was chosen. This was complemented by observation of teaching and content analysis of relevant documents. The research sample consisted of 3 coordinators and 4 teachers of the lower secondary school, with whom guided interviews were conducted. Possibilities of developing digital competencies within the scope of art lessons in basic education

The diploma thesis focuses on the possibilities of developing digital competencies within the scope of art in basic education. In the theoretical part, it focuses on the definition of terminology related to digital forms of art, names the basic principles of new media and focuses on new technologies or phenomena of the digital world, which have a significant influence on the current requirements for the acquisition of these specific competencies. In defining areas of digital competence, the text relies on conceptual models that seek to define a coherent language that unifies terms related to different digital literacies. In the conclusion of the theoretical part, the thesis maps the strategy of the educational policy of the Czech Republic in relation to the implementation of these models in curriculum documents. The resulting outcome is a confrontation of the observed issues with the field of art education and its theoretical starting points. The practical part of the work presents a conceptual analysis of the proposed art education lessons aimed at the systematic development of pupils' digital competences. Digitální upskilling v malých a středních firmách

The diploma thesis deals with the perception of digital upskilling in small and medium-sized enterprises in the South Moravian Region. The aim is to clarify how companies and their employees perceive digital upskilling, why it is important to start dealing with it, and what opportunities and potential threats it brings. Two research studies were conducted. A quantitative survey in the form of a question-naire was conducted with employees from 12 selected companies. The survey examined their digital competence, perception of digital upskilling, preferences, motivation, advantages, and disadvantages. A qualitative study was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with executives and HR specialists. The interviews covered reflections on digitalization, perception of digital upskilling, benefits, potential threats, etc. Based on the analyses of both studies, the output is a clarification of the approach of companies and employees to this topic, as well as recommendations for implementing digital upskilling. This thesis is beneficial for small and medium-sized enterprises and their HR departments, specifically in the field of education.
Using on-line Communication not Only in English Classes

This diploma thesis explores the possibilities of using international online communication in English lessons at the lower secondary level of elementary schools. In this case, information and communication technologies are intended to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and increase the intrinsic motivation to study the English language by providing an authentic space for communication with foreign pupils of similar age. Cross-curricular themes and interdisciplinary relationships with an emphasis on Geography play a significant role in such communication. The theoretical foundations of the international online communication are studied in the theoretical part of the thesis in order to enhance its potential in education. Key competencies, particularly digital and communicative skills, are discussed. Additionally, pedagogical and psychological aspects of the topic are explored. The practical part focuses on the specific implementation in practice, with the first objective being to prepare, test, and reflect on the activities. Development of digital literacy in primary school education

The bachelor thesis deals with the search for the possibilities of developing digital literacy in primary school subjects focusing on the digital competence of communication and collaboration in the sixth year of primary school. The theoretical part defines the concepts of digital literacy and essential digital competence, which was added as the seventh key competence in the revision of the Framework Curriculum for Primary Education in 2021. Subsequently, the relationship between these two concepts and the context of their emergence is explained. An overview of the learning outcomes of the curriculum areas of the FCE Framework usually taught in the sixth year of primary school is based on an analysis of a few selected school curricula. In addition to the materials needed for the pupil's advancement in digital literacy, the DigCompEdu European Framework of Digital Competences for Educators is also summarised. This defines the digital competencies teachers need to have to develop digital literacy in their pupils correctly and effectively. The thesis addresses the the complexity of orientation in the global information space. It draws attention to the problem of credibility of sources on the Internet. Catechesis for children and adults is closely linked to pedagogy. The rapid development of ICT leads to the need for lifelong learning and the acquisition of digital competences for teachers and students. The Internet offers materials for school religious education. The research part of this thesis deals with the practical application of these materials through ICT. The religion teachers are digitally competent. Religion teachers use digital technology as an occasional enrichment to their lessons and to enhance the understanding of the topics covered.
Digital literacy in Computer science

The subject of this diploma thesis is the investigation of digital literacy in the field of Informatics. The concepts of digital literacy, digital competence and the framework of digital competence are explained in the theoretical part. These frameworks, which are used to define and assess digital competences in more detail, are subsequently analysed, described, and compared with each other. Then, based on chosen sources, the digital literacy of current Czech teachers is described. Furthermore, the currently ongoing revision of school educational programmes for primary schools is described, which adds digital competence to the educational programmes for primary schools and replaces the educational field "Information and communication technology" with the new educational field "Informatics". At the end of the theoretical part, the available materials for the preparation of Informatics learning activities in accordance with the mentioned revision are analysed. Using ICT and modern technologies by pupils and students with visual impairment in distance education

This thesis focused on the topic of modern digital aids for students with visual impairment that can be used in education. The theoretical part deals with sub-areas, namely education of a student with visual impairment, digital technologies that can be used in the education of a student and distance learning. The author's research was conducted based on a qualitative research model using the semi-structured interview method, which was then elaborated on one area at a time. The results show that most often the pupils used standard digital devices, namely a computer, or as additional devices a tablet and a mobile phone. As far as special compensatory aids are concerned, the braille display was mentioned in particular. On the topic of reading software, NVDA and JAWS were the most talked about by interviewees with ambivalent views. In distance learning, some respondents reported difficulty navigating the online file sharing environment, but used various forms to gain information on how to operate the programs. It was reported that they obtained information on their own from websites, and some turned to parents and/or directly to teachers who were able to guide them with the help of sighted review.
